Calling for lions?

How well does calling with a predator call work for lions?

It can be done. The most productive method it to go during or after a fresh snow. Cut tracks and follow and call, follow and call. I've know one guy that has called in and killed 2 cougars using this method.

I've tried it and I get impatient and blast the coyotes that invariably show up......

You've got to be willing to pass on the coyotes, fox and bobs that come in.

Thanks for the info! Tried it today, and all we got was 4 coyotes. I would have shot them but there were a bunch of bighorn sheep nearby... didnt want them to spook. Oh well, there is always next time! lol
