In case you are hunting in the east and wondering why you are not seeing more bucks… this is why. They allow you to unknowingly walk in a full circle around them until you are about 10 feet away and even then it can take confirmed eye contact for 10 seconds or the wrong movement before they flip the script.

P.S. It was 80+ degrees today and for next two days… for crying out loud the peak of the rut is just around the corner and it should be 30-40 degrees colder in the day and freezing at night. Nope, not this year, at least not yet!
