Totally agree Swede. My Dad should draw an early season tag. I took a gamble going for a pre-scouting mission. It was totally worth it though. The small bucks are tame right now but the big ones are cagey. In order to get the photos I had to stalk in like hunting within 200 yards. I might put down the rifle and become a photographer...just kidding!

Back to watching the women's soccer and eating like a grizzley bear.

I love that place. Buck in pic 6 has some of that Kaibab mass. Thanks for sharing.
 
HalfAce, that heavy mass buck was smart. He was the first buck I saw when I got there. What struck me was the height of the antlers. I swore to get a picture of that deer. He was the only buck with the combo of heavy mass and tall that I saw.

And my phone just rang and Dad got the tag!!
