Driving 5000 miles to and from Alaska, some audible books I've enjoyed:

Five Skies by Ron Carlson, a novel that captures the western work ethic, people and landscapes

Endless October by Randall Schultz, upland bird hunting and pointer stories

Meateater Campfire Stories: Close Calls by Steve Rinella, close calls when things went wrong

I have doe the Bill O'Reilly audio series

Killing Jesus
Killing Lincoln
Killing Patton
Killing the Rising Sun
Killing Reagan

There are a couple more. They are fantastic. Has nothing to do with politics. I started with Lincoln and got Hooked. they way its told a narrated makes you feel like you are there.

Great post. I've learned that listening to something interesting helps the time go by much quicker. My son showed me how to listen to Bear Grease and MeatEater podcasts, and those have really helped. I'll look into the audio books you guys mentioned above.
Thanks, Neil
