Dozens of roads in the Mt. Hood National Forest have been closed because a few riders ruined them.

"You're not going to get anything to grow here," said U.S. Forest Service Law Enforcement Officer Laurence Olsen, who stood near a mud bog. "All the top layers of the soil are gone."

Bogs have become a dead zone for plant life, and Olsen says they will never recover.

"I don't think you would want someone to do this to your backyard. If you don't want your yard to look like this, I don't think you want the forest to look like this either," said Olsen.

It is simply amazing how fast that 2% un"edujumacated" was able to travel from New Hampshire to Oregon, and do THIS damage.

I wonder if maybe there isn't more than just 2% who are not yet "edjumacated", and that is why we continually see more and more damage by the Fat-Assed ATV crowd???
