I was able to draw permits for me and three friends to hunt the Mule deer gun hunt on Matador WMA in December. It's located between Childress and Paducah, Texas. The park manager says that sections are chosen by permit holders at the time of the hunt in the order they were originally pulled by TPWD. Has anyone ever hunted Matador WMA, and are there any suggestions for what pasture to hunt? For that mater, is there any other advice? I'm excited about the hunt, we are allowed one Mule deer buck, or one Whitetail buck. I here there are some nice one's in that area for both species.
