any tips on a good starting point for southern Idaho for turkeys?
any info would be great thank you.

When you say "southern" Idaho, where are you referring to exactly? I only see one controlled hunt for unit 54. I can't help you there even if I wanted to. If you are possibly referring to SE Idaho, I have heard of people doing well around Preston/Franklin. I've seen turkeys down that way in the fall while hunting elk or deer but haven't been back for spring turkeys. Sorry I'm not much help as I hunt a different area for turkeys in the spring.
