Regulations allow for stands and blinds to be set up one month early out here, so for the first time the wife, our new son and I went for a little hike. It was a quick trip that just got me more pumped up for the impending deer season out here and it made it that much better to have the wifey and kiddo along. After the blind went up, out went the corn and Buckjam and I came across several sets of BIG fresh tracks. I'll be elk hunting for three weeks and then back here to hunt whitetails the rest of the year. Man I love hunting!!! The first shot is us loaded up and ready to head out and the last one is the finished product.

Enjoy every second. I have started 4 boys at the same age, They are now 10-16 years old. You can't believe how it feels to watch over the shoulder as your 12 year old son "12" spot's a cow elk at 32 yards on opening morning of his first elk hunt. Great stuff is coming your way!

So in other words you had a supervisor for the day...lol
