As stated previously. I have spoken with my vet and the breeder of my female ( both licensed vets) my dogs are taken in regularly and the vet saw no cause for concern. I do appreciate your input however at this point I’m beginning to feel like it’s more slander than it is constructive criticism- Hess6911

Why would having a 3rd heat cycle by 1.5yr old be a red flag? Out of curiosity. At what point to you would make that be a major red flag?- Hess6911

Genetically yes, both my dogs were tested at birth for defects, the original comment ,to me, was pertaining more to developmental defects. Which I have spoken with my vet about. The breeder I purchased my silver female from is a vet from Oregon and my local vet I take my animals too regularly, both stated to wait till 2. They put the animal under and will check every. My vet said to wait till 2. So the female is too young she’s 1 1/2 and I am getting the dad tested. Once work slows down and I’m not out of town all week everyweek And for the silver and not meeting standards. Charcoals are recognized as black labs and registered as black. I think I'm going to do it : Bergara B-14 Hunter in 7mm-08
I’ve heard a lot of good things about bergera, I almost bought one over my tikka t3x, be interested to know how it holds up. Best of luck with it -

Doom and gloom for elk hunting this season
Idaho seems to be fine, I’ve seen a lot more elk than I normally have this time of year. These cold fronts I feel might set on an early rut. It will be interesting -

Favorite REPLACEABLE blade knife
I have edge outdoors, the gerber vital and a havalon in my pack. Honestly I feel they are all about the same I tend to go for the edge outdoor one primarily cause it is a larger handle to be able to actually grip after your all bloodied up- Hess6911
