"Domestic" mallard?
They might have found some other markings or genetic markers. I was with a Waterfowl biologist lately banding in WA and they are super observant looking at the birds.- paulm9999

Benelli Super Black Eagle
I have been using a SBE3 for 3 years. Great gun for ducks. I use my over under for Upland. SBE3 is too much barrel for walking around. They are light and nice to swing. PNW E-Scouting for Ruffed Grouse
This move really affected me. The old tradition of getting out on the first weekend was stopped. I still go but the tradition is not the same. Changed who is in the woods first for big game seasons too.- paulm9999

Over thinking chokes is always fun: What chokes for pheasant and grouse in a double barrel?
I use IC in the first barrel and modified in the second for pheasants. Lead shot 5 and 4 respectively. It took me years to get this. I read a book where it was explained that birds shot over pointers are usually very close. Game changer for me for sure. Grouse I use skeet/ic, #7/ 6 shot -
