Answered poll question with how many I have now. Always looking to add more but finances (bills) inhibit my ability. Just looked at a potential new purchase yesterday at the family farm and home. Stevens model 334 in 243. Nice gun at a price I can handle.
First truck was a 86 2 wheel drive Ford Ranger 4 cylinder. Current daily driver now is a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Also have 85 3/4 ton Dodge pickup and a 92 Ramcharger, both only 2 wheel drive.
Saw him twice during bowseason. To far for a shot both times. My brother saw him on the gun opening day, no shot, running with does. Never saw or heard anything about him after that.
Deer 3rd season. I would check blm/ forest service land down in ponderosa pine, pinyon/juniper country.was not able to pm you, might be a new member thing. There's always some resident deer in this country and more will move in with any weather or rut starting. Are better able to glass this...
Elk or mule deer. Both will be weather dependent. Warm weather I would spend my time in the higher ground, spruce/fir, Aspen for elk. Get in away from roads. Mule deer will be in same areas.
This rifle also holds a special memory for me. Shot my first deer (button buck) in 1978 at the age of 14. Still have that Winchester 32 spl. Weaver scope. Have not shot another animal since with this gun.
