I gave up hunting at about age 20 when I got married/college/work/family. Became empty nesters a few years ago and started big game hunting for the first time ever. Had the joy of taking all three of my adult sons on their first ever elk hunts last fall. Great memories were made!

Nice! I hope he loves it! I took all 3 of my adults sons elk hunting in CO last fall. All are experienced range shooters, but none had ever hunted so much as a squirrel! Came home empty-handed, but missed 1 good and 1 gift-wrapped opportunities. :cry: The best part.... they all are excited...
I'm going to give turkey hunting a try for the first time now that I'm 60! My Browning BPS is a fixed modified choke (bought as a teenager to hunt pheasants in IA). Looking for a newer barrel with choke threads, but they're hard to find. Following this thread to gain insight too.
