I have never been to a hunt expo and I haven't seen any that look interesting around S. Ohio.
What do you all think are the best ones out there? Are any worth traveling for?
This article does a better job of putting the info into perspective. The Eagle population is up from the mostly due to DDT bans. Also, "lead levels would stunt annual population growth by 3.8% in bald eagles and 0.8% in golden eagles" is not significant, but...
We know lead is bad (paint...
Thanks! Both make sense to me. After some digging I found out that the limbs on the Reign 6 were known to have cracking/delamination and it should be covered under warranty. I'll take it to a pro shop for strings.
My Reign 6 seems to always need a tune. The lower cam leans noticbly and goes out of wack after about 6 months of shooting at home, and 5 days of field use.
I took it to a new shop, and they are saying it is an issue with the split buss design (vs single buss or yoke) and how they connect to...
Hey, sorry for the late reply. I was out hunting the last few weeks. Still need an assist?
For some reason, hunttalk won't let me PM you. Reply here if you still need assistance and I will get you my email address.
J,
As mentioned in the thread, this I am more than happy to help. What questions do you have?
The more research you do first, the more the direct questions you'll have, and the better the answers I can provide
You can hunt the Colin Neblett WMA which has a portion in 54 and 55. You cannot hunt all of 54 and 55.
In previous years, they split Colin Neblett into 2 hunt units: North Colin Neblett in 55, and South Colin Neblett in 54
I have gotten a lot of DMs from this thread. I am happy to assist, but I must stress the need for new hunters to research on their own a little first (the whole, teach a man to fish, mindset). Once you have done that, then DM me your ideas and specific questions. I am not going to tell you where...
Born and Raised outdoors did a fantastic set of tests in 2019 and they even published their data so you can sort and decide what is best based on your preferences.

I rate accuracy/consistency high for me because a well placed shot...
Gotcha. Good to know. I don't want to sit water and really want to get into aggressive bugling
Gotcha, thanks gents. All good to know.
I don't want to sit water and really want to get into aggressive bugling. That means second archery for the want tags. I'm thinking of picking a first...
I tend to stay away from the where here, because we can be tight lipped (rightfully so). I was planning the Gila. It's a drive for me, but i love fishing in there, like the challenging terrain, and hope water will be better. I plan on hiking A LOT.
With the draw deadline coming up, many of us are attempting to make our top 3 list for NM Elk. This year, it seems there is a lot against us during the archery season. I'm new to archery hunting (NM Res) and looking for additional insight into what to expect from NM elk during September...
