Headed to see the family in Iowa for Thanksgiving and to do some pheasant hunting. Day 1 we had three limits in a little over four hours and then on Day 2 we brought the kids out for a couple hours and ended up with 4 birds. Always fun to watch the dog work and get some exercise before indulging...
Have beaver that has relocated itself onto my families stretch of river after the upstream neighbors pulled out his dam and allowed it to drift down stream. Is destroying the dam itself enough for the beaver to move along or, is termination the best option here?

A pretty large portion of unit 18 is closed due to East troublesome fire. Praying for some rain and snow to help with the fire fighting effort.
Does anyone wear a chest holster under their bino harness? I feel like that is a lot of straps going on, so am interested in anyone’s feedback, or other ways you like to carry your sidearm while in the field.
Have fished the same lake in Iowa for the last 20 years and have never caught this many walleye of this caliber. I guess the new slot limit is working.
Brother-in-law and I were hunting turkeys here in Colorado along a not so used 4 wheel drive road that animals tend to treat like a highway. We had a feeding hen decoy set up just off the road. Around 10:00 am we see some movement through a bush, thinking a Tom his come in to our calls we sit...
Prior to this year I had only upland bird and waterfowl hunted. Thanks to Randy and this forum for helping me get into big game hunting, and back into the gym after taking several years off after a not so eventful college football career. Next year I know what to expect and the need to be in...
I am wanting to hunt the Indian Peaks wilderness area, but the parking lot that I want to use requires a $5 day fee. Does anyone know if I can pay this online? I have struck out in my searches so far and was hoping someone on here would be able to help me out.
TIA
Are bases for a Rem 700 going to fit a weatherby Vanguard? I thought I saw something along those lines posted somewhere.
What recommendations do you all have for a 240 weatherby.
My wife won a Weatherby Vangueard in 240 wby and I am looking to see what everyone has to say about it. What do you all think about using it for pronghorn and mule deer?
Hello all,
Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. Should have done it a while ago. I teach 6th grade math in Denver. I have spent a large portion of my life fly fishing the wonderful rivers and streams that flow through our great state. As for hunting I mostly done upland bird hunting...
Hunting 4th Rifle in unit 18 in Colorado. I already know that it gets hammered, but am looking for any advice that you all may have. I am thinking about hunting around Grouse and Elk mountain, but any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated.
