Anyone have any reviews on the quilts from VIam outdoors? Would like to try them out, and apparently they are rated all the way to 0 degrees. Otherwise I’ve read a lot of good things on enlightened equipment quilts and stone glacier’s mummy bags.- kroppr_77

Think I’ll go with a zero degree, anyone have issues with down vs synthetic? Just hear a lot that if down gets wet your trip is gonna be rough. Kind of an open ended question here, but what would you all recommend for a sleeping system in Idaho for late season? The temps for the units I’m looking at are mid 30’s for highs and around 5-10 degrees for lows. Would you go 0 degrees for the bag or get by with something like a 10 or 15? Also...- kroppr_77

sorry should've clarified, I mainly was referring to big game. We regulate everything in Wisconsin from waterfowl, upland birds, deer, coyotes, bear, and more; but not wolves which makes absolutely no sense when they make such an impact on populations, far more than any other predators we have...- kroppr_77

The thought that wolves wouldn't have a detrimental impact on deer herds in the great lakes area, is just astonishing to me when it has been proven. That hardly works anywhere in the continent of North America, thats why we adopted a model of conservation referred to the North American model. Choosing packs
I just picked up a MR Marshall in the last month. I love it and the amount of storage on the pack is amazing, you can really organize everything to make it efficient. The pack also tightens down a great deal to become pretty small when you need it that way, and things come off the back as well...- kroppr_77

Thanks for the input everyone. I was just thinking something for two people incase I go with someone, I should’ve specified that. Then thinking splitting the stove and tent between two packs. I've found a few tents on ebay without a stove jack, was it difficult to install one yourself? It was specifically the seek outside cimmaron, but they do not sell individual stove jacks anymore to install by yourself. So I'd have to use a different brand, which isn't a big deal but I wasn't sure.- kroppr_77
