Grizzly - How close is too close ?
Bit late to the party. Saw between 40-50 grizzly this year. 80% on Kodiak, 20% in Yellowstone ecosystem (I live there). In the lower 48 if you can see them they're too close. As others have said, 99% of bear sightings are going to be fine. It's the unpredicatable 1% that you have to worry... -

Can someone explain WY General Tags?
https://wgfd.wyo.gov/Hunting/Hunt-Planner/Elk-Hunting/Elk-Map Basically, pick any unit. If it has General listed, then you can hut the dates listed for whatever sex it says. For Example, unit 78 is General for 8/15 - 10/31 for anterless elk on private land only. Pretty self explanatory. -

WY Elk unit 90
I live in Jackson. Basically around Moose, WY (the mid-point of Grand Teton NP) the grizzly density drops by 75-90% and gets lower the further south you go. I don't know if there is a reason for it to pick backup down in 90, I don't hunt that unit. I believe Jackson is the furthest south of...
