Messing with Nosler Accubond 140 gr 7mm in 280 AI
22" barrel on a Savage Ultralight, Nosler factory loaded 140gr. Accubond, 3010 fps, 2 dead elk bulls, one cow and 2 mule deer. Couldn't be happier- KandM

Tikka .308
My wife and I own 2 Tikkas, T3 Lite 308 and T3x Lite in 6.5CM. Only change was a $10 trigger spring. Both shoot sub MOA with factory ammo at 100 and beyond. One thing I noticed is that Tikkas seem to have "slow" barrels. Over a chrono, factory shoots slower in the Tikkas then other factory...- KandM

Two Tikkas to paradise...
Please correct me if I am wrong, but my T3x Lite in 6.5CM has a 24.3 inch barrel. I believe the Superlite has the same. the heavier weight of the SS offsets the fluting, no? -

500 Yrds?
Thank you all for your comments. I guess we will have to see how good my approach skills are on a late season bull. My wife and I regularly shoot out to 500yrds, and we play at further. I guess my concern is not being able to make the shot, but whether we have enough energy for a quick clean... -

We do have a 6.5 creed, but the energy over 400 yards is questionable. We can both make a good shot on an elk at 500, but just doesn't seem an ethical chance to take. We could go bigger. But why? We will do whatever it takes to get closer, if it is to be it will be. I have almost 3 dozen... -
