Best thing I ever did. My wife is a Nurse Practitioner who sometimes shared her office with the hospital urologist that performed mine. We all joked throughout the brief procedure. All (including recovery) at most mildly discomforting. Took it easy for a day, no worries.
Wow. How is the fit and finish? Let us know how it performs, the move to Wyo
Wow. How is the fit and finish? Let us know how it performs, the move to Wyoming has peaked my interest in the Roy's. A guy in elk camp last year had a Mark V ultra lightweight in 30-06, it was very nice.
Try BlackOvis Merino, good price. This year's successful Elk hunt showed me that while merino is great, it does get and stay clammy during periods of high exertion. In the future I may try synthetics again. The Kuiu Peloton 97 zip-off bottoms look promising, with the ability to add/remove...
After the Apocalypse roaches and Ruger Boat Paddle rifles will still be with us. They are simple, rugged, and reliable rifles and mine in .308 will do under an inch at 100 yards with 165 grain Accubonds.
Just received this:

Fits well, I will fire a group this weekend to see if it affects accuracy.
Jason Hairston offered to sell me some limited edition KUIU boxers knitted from Land Tawney's stolen beard trimmings but I turned him down.
Seriously though, I'm not a fan of UA, but those pants fit great. So far, I'm very impressed with BO merino; time will tell.
Proposed setup:
-Lowa Mountain GTX 200 gram over Smartwool Socks
-Under Armour Storm Poly pants over Black Ovis Merino boxers and 190 bottoms (and, if needed, REI midweight polypro bottoms)
-Black Ovis 190 crew plus 230 1/4 zip hoody
-First Lite Corrugate Jacket as shell

Post your Dirtbag Rifles! Those rifles that may not be pretty, but reliably get the job done. Here's mine: Ruger M77 MKII .308 stainless/boat paddle stock in .308 with a Leupold M8 4x. Killed an elk in 2002 and would have in 2016 but for operator error. Its intended replacement, a Nosler 48...
I view the NRA as a once proud organization of Sportsmen, Marksmen, and Collectors that has devolved into the paranoia-peddling marketing wing of the firearms industry.
I just bought one in .308 about two weeks ago when Nosler had a sale. I had it for one night, and it would not feed dummy rounds or Nosler 165 Grain AB factory loads. The rounds would either 1) get stuck in mag box as if box was too wide, 2) round would not present enough rim for bolt to grip...
I am sorry I could not attend, it was about a 3 hour round trip to St. Charles, perhaps the next one could be a bit further South into the STL metro area. Hope the turnout was good.
