california x10 deer zone

California A zone - Anybody hunt it?
I logged 7 days of the A zone archery. Found plenty of does, but only 1 buck and that was 30 minutes before shooting time ended and no way I could get to him in time with no wind to cover the sound. Tule Elk on trail cam
I set a trail camera here in Northern California over a water hole hoping to get some blacktail bucks, but got about 40 videos in 5 days of one of the local elk herds. I also drew an X-10 tag this year, but for the archery season. Ive been doing a lot of "online scouting" with google earth and calling forest rangers, which is a start but nothing like actual field work.
