Moose hunting: Tipping Pilots $$$ ?
I usually tip $100 each way. I'm not a big tipper, but this seems customary. Especially if you get a few extra minutes looking over the area where you're going to hunt, its money well spent. Plus, he's more likely to get you over someone else if there is only time for one pickup that day... or...- KJH

Iraq Update - August 2017
I haven't been there for 10 years... I did spend a lot of time there and 24 months consecutive once (Army Officer & unit commander), but I doesn't sound like its changed much except getting even worse. Bear Meat?
We eat a ton of game meat at my house... We like it all... except bear. Bear meat is pretty much the worst thing I've ever eaten. Believe me I've tried to make it edible. I've only killed and tried eating early spring black bears, but they are all so terrible that the meat smells rancid...- KJH

Aging Meat
My dad has ALWAYS skinned his deer then hung in a steel shed with a temp just above freezing for 14 days before butchering. He'll even scrape a little mold off some years. His meat is always amazing. I can't disagree with Randy's thoughts as I'm on board with that, but then the other side of me says that having to be a person of significant means to hunt the "peoples resource" is not what hunting should be about.- KJH
