    Rebounding Hammer on Lever Guns

I assume your referring to the new Winchesters... I've heard of reliability issues, but I don't know that it's a common enough occurrence to worry about. A more broad internet search would probably be more help.

    Barrel Threads.

I've been doing a ton of custom barrel threading lately. There are a lot of options and work-arounds for various problems that a lot of folks are unaware of. It's generally recommended that you want at least .1" over your thread diameter for a safe shoulder for suppressor use. This can be an...

I put those shooting matches on as background noise in my shop tonight. Nothing like the soothing sounds of rifle fire!

I think US Ord. tested those clips in 1902-03 but they were already looking to replace the rifle at that point. There was also a self-contained speed loader invented but I'm not sure when that came about.

The ability to top off the magazine without opening the action was one of the deciding factors for its adoption, and downfall. The Mauser was shown to be superior with its ability to load from stripper clips during the Spanish-American War. I appreciate any brass you're willing to part with...

Huber Concepts makes a replacement trigger. It has adjustment for the 1st stage/creep and overtravel. I'd recommend lightly stoning and polishing the sear surfaces too.

I've got a soft spot for older rifle designs. I like the new stuff too, but it can be pretty "cookie cutter" today. One of the actions pretty high up on my "intrigued by" list is the Krag-Jorgensen. A wonderfully odd design that's just about as smooth as you can get. It's far from perfect but...

Spartan Fail. Now Which Bipod and How to Mount It?

The gunsmith socket is the way to go. A lot of guys install it close to the balance point of the rifle but you lose a lot of stability doing that. If you can, halfway down the forend or near the sling stud work well.
