Glad to see Season 6 episode 2!
Good episode, but it's the wrong title. The title states they are in Arizona but the episode is shot in WindRiver, WY. I'm sure they will correct it.- Tewa06

Another first-timer looking for advice
I suggest you watch Big Fin's video on applying for an elk tag. He goes through the process of each state and how each one varies. In NM you can apply online and buy your hunting license and stamps but it you don't draw you can request to get a refund. NM doesn't operate on points its a random... -

I shot my first bull this season after about 20 years of hunting. When we skinned his head we found a piece of a broken antler stuck inside his head behind his eye. Has anyone ever found a piece of broken antler in an elk's head? Just curious. -

New Mexico Antelope management change proposal
Yes, it has been posted. I think the new format would open up lands for public hunting that don't now qualify for the APLUS due to sheer size of the ranch. Some of the ranches I drove by this past weekend had lopes on them but were not open for hunting. -

Apply in NM, we don't have a point system. Luck of the draw, however, NR tags for Lopes are hard to come by. The NM DGF posts the draw results from the prior year and will also have the allocation for NR tags. Good Luck. -
