Beginner looking for advice on montana
Hunted 416 public land this past year and went 2-4 on cows. I shot a big cow first day and saw three bulls the rest of the first week of rifle while trying to find a mule deer buck. Bring it on! Hunting in PA and knowing what hunting pressure is I could not tell the season started. Called them on Friday and then said he should be good as they average 300 turned in for years it didn't sell out in the first draw so who knows but we are staying optimistic. It's a shame that I put us in as a group and the group didn't get drawn but 3 of 4 got picked individually- Trailrunnerdj

Any idea when combo license alternate list licenses will be issued? Still waiting to see if a buddy in our group that didn't get drawn put his name in for alternate list and saw he was assigned a number on Monday.- Trailrunnerdj

MT non-resident redraw for tags turned in?
Three of the four of our group got tags this year the one guy put in for the redraw and got number #136. I think this should be low enough to get a tag anyone heard of how many tags got turned in? I guess we will know later this week or next Monday.- Trailrunnerdj

You got the same results as I did for the combo draw. You are successful as an individual but your group was not selected. Myself and one other guy in our group of 4 got drawn but two guys didn't! They told me when I called that unsuccessful groups were released back in to the individual draw...- Trailrunnerdj

Heard MT sold out the 17,000 - non-residents panic
So our group was not drawn for the big game combo but two of the four of us got individual NR big game combo tags. One person is gonna try to get the left over elk combo tags and the other is undecided and really wanted the chance to take a mule deer. It sounds like there may be some big game...- Trailrunnerdj
