I just ran across one and got it ordered. Hopefully it’s in decent condition. Thanks for the response!

WTB: David Longs Public Land Mulies

Does anyone have a copy of David Longs book Public Land Mulies that they would be willing to part with? The ones I have been finding online are $80+!

    NV pronghorn migration

The tag gods looked down on me favorably this year. Not only did I manage to draw a 16 archery elk tag as well as a deer tag in NM. I also was drawn for one of the only, if not the only, non-resident Nevada pronghorn tags for the migration hunt (Oct 15-30) in units 202 and 204. I put in for this...

    Real World success

I was hunting deer in CO and ran into some guys from Pennsylvania that had been hunting elk in the same area for 15 years. They had only killed 2 elk in 15 years (1 cow, 1 raghorn). You could have taught th a thing or two!

    Real World success

In that case. Does @Stubaby want to join me on my hunts this year?! All great points. I feel like we give it hell when we are scouting and hunting. I think traveling further does give folks a bit more determination/drive/incentive to stay longer. I was originally just thinking about people of...

    Real World success

I got to thinking the other day. Dangerous, I know. It seems like most of the guys that have regular harvest success year after year live near their hunting area or at least near the mountains where they can get real world experience. I am talking about guys who it’s a rarity for them NOT to...

    Elk101 University of Elk Hunting

That’s kind of what I’m thinking. I’ve looked at the modules and think the only ones I might find beneficial would be elk hunting knowledge, locating elk, and setting up. All stuff that can be found for free or learned with boots on the ground.

    Elk101 University of Elk Hunting

I’ve run low on honey-dos during quarantine so I am considering signing up for the UEH online course. I’ve seen good and bad reviews (mainly good). However, I am curious to hear what some of yalls experiences are with it. This will be my 4th elk season and I feel like I’ve learned quite a bit...

New Mexico Elk Hunt Unit 16E

Were all four time filmed for the show? If so which seasons and episodes? I have already watched S3E4: Elk at 2 yards. How intense!

    new mexico unit 50

Congrats on the Unit 50 bull! That might be more of a trophy than a 360” in a good unit.

WTS / WTT Sitka Kelvin Lite XXL

I purchased a Kelvin lite jacket a couple seasons ago. I bought the XXL thinking the sleeves would fit my arm length better. I have decided I would rather have an XL and have shorter arms and less bulk in the torso. If anyone is interested I would be willing to sell it or trade it for and XL...

New Mexico unit 50 early archery

I’ve scoured the map looking for guzzlers along the rim. I can’t find any. Are they on the 50 or 53 side?

New Mexico unit 50 early archery

Just got back from a scouting trip. We hiked to the top of Pot Mtn (Cerro de la Olla) and wandered around. There was some sign but the majority of it was very old. It is very dry up there and they hadn't gotten any monsoon rains at that point. We also checked out Cerro Montoso and de la Aire...

New Mexico unit 50 early archery

Hey Ky! My cousin and I were drawn for this hunt as well. Not what I would picture as a dream hunt but beat the heck out of sitting at home! We have already planned a couple day scouting trip around the 4th of July. Hopefully we can set some cameras. Are y'all planning to scout or just look at...

    New Mexico 2B late rifle

That sounds great. I finally got to start chasing my dreams of western game last year. One of my favorite parts is meeting new people with similar passions

    New Mexico 2B late rifle

My cousin and I have this tag for a late October hunt. Sounds like the earlier the season date the harder the hunt. I guess we need to hope for some early weather to get migration started? teamhoyt and npaden I tried sending y'all a pm but it says y'all have "exceeded their stored private...

    Flat Tops 3rd Rifle Help

Not sure if this is any help but I hunted the flat tops in 25 last year for archery mule deer. I was there for the labor day weekend rush. I hiked 7 miles or so into the wilderness area only to run into tons of people. I saw and talked to about a dozen groups of people (hunters, fishermen...

Utah - Plateau Thousand Lakes Mule Deer

Came back empty handed. However, I did learn a lot about this unit and saw some really nice deer (one of which was well over 165") Could have shot a few forkys and smaller class deer but decided to pass. I hunted a few different areas on the unit and gathered some good info for if/when I go...
