    Did MT do away with the 80% refund by August 1st and 50% refund by the start of the general season?? I have read through the regs and don't see that specifically spelled out like it has been in years past. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance.

    I just turned 30 and while I still love to hunt - I find myself doing it for mostly two reasons: 1. solitude in the woods 2. spending time with Dad The blood still gets pumping when I shoot something, but right now the things that get me out of bed are the 2 reasons above. Especially #2....

    Excellent post, and I share the same feelings toward my wife. Drug her on a cross-country roadtrip for MT mule deer hunt last year and no complaints....one of the best weeks of our life.

    I know a lot of folks go to Region 7 and it seems that's where a lot of feedback is coming from. Any info on region 3 or 5? I think I am heading into one of those 2 area the first or second weekend of rifle.

    I second this. After listening to the Meateater podcast for 2 years...I am also making the plunge from GA to out West this year. I am also a mega-lurker, if you couldn't tell by how long ago I joined vs. my post count but that's because I feel like I have so much more to learn than contribute.
