Any word on central SD pheasant outlook?
Lol, whatever, I'm looking forward to hunting Central SD this year. I hear there is a ton of public land that was recently donated to the state by Ducks Unlimited. Memorable 1st Elk for a teenager! Wow.
Wow, That would be a crazy view through the scope! Lion duty wouldn't have been very exciting either, especially for a teenager! Good work though and nice shot at 324 yds. -

I saw a flock while elk hunting unit 54 and they were near a creek, not sure what creek it was but we went in to the NF near Crawford.- CoHunt

best site to order satellite imagery?
I know for the Colorado units, Basspro sells a map that includes the GMU boundaries, trails, and are fairly detailed. Not sure if MN units are also available but it would be worth a shot. I think I spent $20 for mine... -

At the BassPro in Colorado Springs, they sell GMU maps that allow you to look at the Topo within the GMU boundaries. These maps also show campgrounds and service roads. It should be a great starting point and if you aren't sure on a unit they have a table nearby that would allow for some quick... -

HA! The hawks in Colorado must love decoys, I had one attack my spinning mojo but I stood up and yelled right before he sank his talons in it. I had never seen that before but I guess it happens more often then not. Either I was hiding really well or he was really hungry. More likely the latter.- CoHunt

What a great season... so far!
You should definitely be proud of your daughters. I can't wait until my kids are old enough to start going with me, I have a feeling my daughter is going to love it as much as yours do! Enjoy the memories while they last and Congrats!
