I had an on range hunt in December. I butchered it myself and besides steaks, stew, and roast made italian sausage, breakfast sausage, chirizo, bacon burger and standard ground. We replaced all our red meat with Oryx and use it like we would any ground meat, tacos, meatloaf, meatballs … tonight...
Stationed at Aviano AB, It. My mother was visiting so I was on leave and we were traveling from San Gimignano to Cinque Terre. When we arrived the Hotel staff told me how sorry they were for our loss and that I needed to call my base immediately. Once I got off the phone I went and found a tv to...
Congratulation, cool bull. I think I saw this bull on 19 Aug just when he was rubbing off his velvet. He was with another bull that initially looked bigger, much wider, once we Looked at them through the 18s we realized he had those kickers. My buddy took a picture I will check with him tomorrow.
I will be there for the General Buck tag. I’m not familiar with the area so plan on getting there a couple of days early to check out the area. Pm me if you are interested in meeting up.
Follow the good advice above and once you have studied the maps if you have specific questions about the area PM me and I will try to help. I’m not the most experienced hunter but I live in Alamogordo and spend a fair amount of time in the mountains.

But suspect that this happens every time...
My buddy and I had an off range tag a couple of years ago. We didn’t tag out but he got a shot at one and we saw a few others but things didn’t work out. Where are you planning on basing your hunt from? The others have given some good advice, If you have access to a UTV that would be helpful in...
If you are a BHA member check out NM chapters Facebook page and post the question there. I was at a pint night Thursday and there were several people talking sheep. One was actually involved in flying surveys and relocations.
Got him back today. Hadn’t planned on having something mounted but after the struggle felt like I owed it to him. To honor him. Glad I did He’s beautiful

Thanks for this thread. I’m not a fisherman but my grandson started fishing last year and we are headed to Yellowstone via Nebraska, South Dakota in a couple of days. Now I can go to Basspro and pick up some of these items ahead of time. We have just been asking the locals we run into...
