Make sure your truck is actually able to run chains on all four. Many (most?) modern trucks specifically state only to run them on the rear due to all the funny business they have up front now. Estes is a hoot. Always frustrating to see so many elk and/or have to avoid getting in their way while flyfishing and then see notta during season! Tire chains was a good call. I can only run rears on the tacoma or my brother's f150, but they still made a massive difference. -

Depends on the situation. I like hunting 3rd/4th rifle CO so I can take my time. We hunt with 4 guys. Area we hunt you can just pack the meat bags up or down to the main trail and leave them near there. Most any cow and we can very comfortably get out in one trip (hide, boned out meat) if we... -

Watching. Out of curiosity do you have to deal with snow loading? I have neither but am interested in both, but can't quite get over the Nallo's slanted footbox. Can't imagine it sheds or supports snow as well as a dome/freestander? Don't want to wake up to wet feet touching the tent top.- Mason326

Check OnX property boundaries, USFS Motor Vehicle Use Maps (restrictions, closures, dates, etc), and even google earth for access to those little roads. A lot of those little marked roads start on gated private property. I cannot vouch for 35/Mosher with ground verification, but it appeared... -

Also, I imagine deer will be all over at that time (elevation wise). Some may still be high then but may depend on weather. Elk/deer may get split up pretty distinctly if you get a big snow high. Just speculation of course, like I said I've only hit August and November. -
