Hunting mittens
I use a pair of Burton boarding mittens that are oversized. Hot hands inside and easy to throw off quickly for a shooting opportunity. I find this to be the best option for me. I can withstand the cold for a few minutes to take a barehanded shot.- blazinsoles

Don't cross it off. Just change it to a trail marathon. They have SNACKS at aid stations and hiking is not frowned upon. Road running can be rough because everyone is in a hurry to get done.- blazinsoles

Just starting A Farewell to Arms- Ernest Hemingway. Anyone else find it interestingly difficult to read early 20th century literature considering the sentence structure and punctuation? Extremely different than I was taught in school.- blazinsoles

game bags vs pillow cases
That was my immediate thought. Extra pillows and cases everywhere..... Midwestern whitetail hunter here so have never needed to quarter an animal yet but have carried pillow cases just in case I've gotten into a hairy spot. Glad to know experienced people do this without any issue.- blazinsoles

Yep. Perks to working for many companies as noted. Demand is high and supply is way low. Our ag dealership struggles constantly to find a diamond in the rough. If I were surfing that occupation pool I'd look at the Deutz engine division. They supply you with a truck to road service Deutz engine...- blazinsoles

my younger brother wants to use a 410 for turkeys next spring are they enough?

Bobcat or Kabota?
Tractor has the upper hand for all reasons listed above. I'll throw in that used attachment availability and $$ and will have an advantage over the skid steer. If I were going the skid steer route I would also be getting a machine with tracks as opposed to wheels. So the cost continues to rise- blazinsoles
