South central wyoming timing?

New Mexico unit 34
Good unit with lots of deer and elk. They have had some CWD in that unit and they have upped the tag count the last couple years. Deer quality in NM isn’t great anywhere, but there are some decent deer in that area. Haven’t hunted 34 myself, but have spent some time there camping and hanging out... -

Lubbock area Dove
I usually have a couple good shoots a year. Real early and then the late season. New Mexico has some good spots for the cost of a $75 license. Unless you are have or are paying for private access around Lubbock, you'll have to at least pay for the $48 public access fee for Texas, so not really... -

Wyoming NR General Elk points
I went general as well. Sitting at 3 points, so I should be good barring something crazy. Trying for 2-3 elk tags this year. Wyoming is the first that should lock in. Colorado will either be a shoe in for muzzleloader or 2nd rifle depending on when/where I decide to go in WY. And hoping to luck... -

New to the west
If you have a couple hundred bucks to buy points in states that you could actually hunt in the next couple years, I would stick with Wyoming, Montana, and South Dakota. I try to get 1 trip in per month August: hoping for another NM (or NV) Pronghorn Late September/Early October: start with a South Dakota Pronghorn, then swing up to Montana for a 700 Pronghorn tag (1 trip-2 tags). Cooler Size
I used a 120 with 1qt water bottles filled with ice extended gel (12-16 of them) and got my quartered New Mexico buck, head, and full skin (nose to tail) and was still able to put some additional ice in there and still close it up. -
