Congrats on the buck. I’ve been checked by an officer when I had cut both hind quarters off, packed them out, and then went back for the rest. That officer was happy to see that I had broke that animal down (or in half) in an effort to get him out since it was earlier in the year.
Another vote for AGC, even though it seems like you already have it narrowed down. I went with the model that will carry most 10x42s, rangefinder, side pockets, and bottom pocket. Basically I don't leave home without it. The other thing that I appreciate is its durability. Good luck in your seach.
I picked up a CO 2nd season mule deer tag this year. Some of the dates conflict with Iowa's early muzzleloader season. I think I'm going to try 2nd shotgun this year.
