Idaho polls are open today. I have the excellent Mike Moyle as my district rep, so I get to vote against him.
Anyone have intel on the four Idaho supreme court candidates' stances on federal lands? I've been digging, but it's tough to find good information.
I think they're doing a good job, as well, but something more prominent on the website would be a start. The Public Access page should have some information (http://www.rmef.org/Conservation/PublicAccess.aspx). Maybe in bold, with sparkling lights and fireballs, to make sure we see it.

You can voice your disapproval of HB582 here, courtesy of TRCP. It goes to Moyle, and a few others. It takes about 1 minute: https://secure3.convio.net/trcp/site/Advocacy?cmd=display&page=UserAction&id=513
I don't know, but I signed it. I actually liked the idea of a few auctioned tags, but I've come to the realization that greed will ultimately win out, and a few tags will turn into dozens, or hundreds. I saw a bar chart of Utah's tag counts that started in the 80s, and it was an eye-opener...
True. I think it's been said here before, but the distance between right and left is growing and it's taken on a life of its own. We've lost the ability to think critically and create our own opinions based on facts. I can't have a conversation with my conservative friends without anti-Obama...
Thanks for posting the contact info. I'm still not opposed to auctioning a few tags, but the leash would need to be really short. And, I don't want it to be forced down our throats via legislation.
That article was linked to one of the ALC's Facebook posts yesterday. Last night I commented below the link, "That's weird. You mean these guys aren't on the up-and-up." This morning the post that contained the link was gone, along with my response, and I have been locked from commenting on...
Hopefully, we're smart enough to maintain about 10 tags if they enact the new auctions - that's what I'm on board for. The Utah tag numbers are just dumb - started with one in 1981, then blew up to 300+ ever since '02. Somebody really decided to sell-out in the early 90s. Not sure if this link...
I'm not sure about that. I don't think this is an open invitation - the f&g still has to answer to the public, at least partially. That's why I think the auction is a good concession. Decent return with minimal relative impact to "average people."
I think auction tags are an ok idea, especially given the recent theme of the proposals to increase revenue. The auction tags bring in a decent amount of money with very little effect on almost all hunters. On the other hand, they suggest selling private land tags and point/bonus systems that...
