    Holiday antler pile

Merry Christmas everyone! I try to build an antler tree most years. Didn’t have the time this year but here is a photo of last year’s tree. Lots and lots of zip ties! My wife loves how sturdy the “branches” are for hanging ornaments and that it is a different tree every year.

Access Tonnosport for 6’4” Ram truck bed

Access Tonnosport tonneau cover for 6’4” RAM bed. I had it on my 2014 Ram 1500. This cover is in good condition and closes easily and tight every time. The Velcro holds just fine. This is the best tonneau cover I have had on any truck I have owned, it was just time to upgrade to a topper. $200...

Some times it takes a few years.

I have no idea how long this one has been laying around, but I know I have walked within at least 25 yards of it on many occasions. The Easter egg analogy seems more appropriate to this antler than most others I have found. I decided to leave it out there. For some reason, I just feel like this...

    Deadheads - Let's see 'em

375 - It was in a general unit. Ultimately, it is tough to say what got him. I just would have expected more consumption if it were a wolf or lion kill. I also checked for bullet holes or subcutaneous hemorrhaging, but was not able to find any. That said, the hide was pretty frozen and even a...

    Deadheads - Let's see 'em

I stumbled onto this fella while taking the dogs for a walk on the public lands of Montana last weekend. If not for the lone magpie flushing from the site, I would have probably walked right by him at 30 yards. It seems like winter got the best of him as there was no evidence of wolves or...

MT FWP Tentative Season setting meetings

For anyone interested in how the final public meeting played out in Gardiner (Region 3 ) here is my take on it: 1. Multi generational Gardiner residents seem to have little respect for FWP biologists, wolves, and Native Americans. It is mind blowing to me that many folks can not grasp that...
