    Quit hunting

I love hunting & thank about it all day everyday, but I do find myself not being able to go as much as I would like. There are lots of reasons we quit hunting. I think most peoples life change and they have other priorities. Hunting is not cheap by any means especially if you hunt out of state...

    Sad find

There could have been many reasons why the shooter was unable to recover the bull. It happens every year! You might have a different outlook if it happened to you!! If you don't know the circumstances you shouldn't be so quick to judge.

    How Many Pins?

I use 5 pin Trophy ridge react 20, 30, 40, 50, 60. I don't want to have to mess with anything in the heat of the moment.

    What should I expect?

    I have 10 x 42 vortex vipers 15 x 56 vortex vultures & 20 x 60 x 80 vortex spotting scope. I tend to leave the spotting scope in camp & use the 15 x 56 on a tripod & 10 x 42 around my neck. The 15 x 56 spot anything I am looking for with ease. If your going to put your 10 x 50s on a tripod your...

Handling camp expenses when you bought most of the equipment

Like others have said we split food for breakfast , lunch, dinner, pack snacks your on your own, but we usually share with each other. Fuel cost we split, but usually who ever drives we don't have them pay for fuel. We have a good crew & everything always evens out in the end. There have been a...

    Brand new to archery

I agree with elkhnter. Grab as many bows as you can & see what feels good to you than shoot them. Cabelas & Bass Pro usually have some ready to hunt bow packages that are pretty decent for a newbie. The first bow I bought was from Bass Pro & it was a Diamond Rock by Bowtech. It had everything I...

    Long Range Elk

I am just getting into long range shooting, but notice I said shooting not hunting. I have no desire to try & kill an animal at long range. I like bowhunting & getting in as close as possible is my favorite part of the hunt. I don't like long range hunting & I think its bad for our sport. I know...

    Vortex vulture binos.

I just got a pair of the 15x56s. I thank they are great for the price I use mine on a tripod & have no regrets on my purchase!! Others will tell to save for swaros. They are correct that swaros are the top of the line., but I don't have the coin for swaros saving is next to impossible with...
