When you go back, they should still be tossing out a bugle now and then. Being assigned to the LEA, you are able to hunt animals that see much less pressure than the At-Large areas. The gun hunters assigned to that unit will tag out pretty quickly for the most part and I don't think they'll bust...
Wow. Great picture. Now I have to wonder how long it will take for someone to steal the photo and post it on other sites as having been taken in any number of East / Southeast states that now have elk. ;)
Long time lurker here. Figure it's time to join in. I don't have a lot of experience hunting in the western U.S. but have plenty in the Bluegrass State, including elk. So if anybody is looking for information about hunting here, hit me up. I enjoy helping other hunters.
