    I use to do a spot and stalk hunt in Wyoming in the spring. We would usually see one to two bears a week. Tough hunt depending on the weather, shed hunters and other people.

    The archery/ shotgun zones are the areas closer to town, access roads. The rifle is the majority of the refuge.

    Just returned from my bison hunt in Wyoming. I took a rifle after reading how hard it was to take a cow. All the animals were in the archery/shotgun zone. I ended up borrowing a friends crossbow. I got lucky with a forty yard shot then the work began!

    I drew a cow bison tag...100% draw odds. It will be a different hunt and I am looking forward to it. I am sure next year the draw odds won't be as good as the news gets out. Let the planning begin!

    CO Muzzleloader Deer/Elk question

    I hunted 444 a few years ago. We hunted a lot of the BLM and National forest that was next to private property. I got a 5x5 elk and a 4 point mule deer. I used the CVA Accura and Power belts. Seemed to be a good combo but then my farthest shot was 21 yards. Good luck!

    Dad at 43!!!!!

    Congratulations! Your life is going to change and it's going to come at you at 100 MPH. It truly is a blessing. We had twins two years ago when I was 46. I did miss the last 2 years of hunting but back at this year. Get use to people calling you Grandpa! The Lord works in great ways.

    WY Elk Units and Outfitters

    units 70 and 71 have bear and wolf issues. I would check out Mule Shoe Outfitters as they hunt 96 and 97. You could draw these tags as second choice or even leftover.
