ive been thinking about this a lot lately. ive never worn hearing protection in the field. ive always worried about not having time to get the muffs or plugs in and get a shot. do u guys wear the plugs or muffs all day, or just put it on right before the shot? and what do you use? thanks

let me start by saying my wife did not grow up a hunter. matter of fact she and her sister were pretty much anti-hunters when we started dating (her sister still very much is). i got her into fishing and shooting first which she really enjoyed...
Forgot to mention I'm not looking for a giant, I'd shoot a raghorn if I had the chance. I could put in for a point again this year and scout during the season this year and hunt next. Thanks for the help so far guys
right now im sitting on 10 pts in az. i can draw a number of late season tags both rifle and archery. so do i burn my points now or do i bite the bullet and keep putting in and hope i draw a better tag in 5-10 yrs? this would be my first elk hunt, and i could probably get out for one quick...
