    Yet another pack question.

I have a BigHorn and Grizzly. For a day pack the BigHorn would work great. It gives you enough room for a warm weather overnighter. Another good thing about the BigHorn is its just tall enough for the load lifters to work.

    MR 7500 Daypack Lid question

From the looks of the first set of pictures it looks like you can still tighten the straps on the lid some more. I have a Grizzly and I have mine tightened up all the way and I don't have that problem. On my lid I also have a middle strap that attaches to the top of the pack in between the...

    Backpack advise

Mystery Ranch has links to videos for fitting their packs on their website. It's easy to fit their packs. You just slide the yoke up or down to the height that works for you. It doesn't take much time to fit their packs. http://vimeo.com/search?q=mystery+ranch

    MR help

I have the MR Big Horn and the Grizzly. I like the lumbar pad. It fits nicely in the small of my back and helps distribute the weight and keep the pack from shifting. I had back surgery on my lower back in 97 and the lumbar pad doesn't bother my back at all. I like the support there and I...

    Water bladder for pack

I only use the military line of camelbak bladders. I find they're very durable and they already come with the bite valve covers, on/off valves, and hose covers. I've abused the same one for 7-8 years now. I like how the hose has the quick disconnects for easier cleaning. I find the camelbaks...

    Mystery Ranch Tent sale

Earlier in the week they had posted on their facebook that the sale started at 9. Later in the week either on Thursday or Friday they changed it to 8. I got there about 5 minutes after 8 and was able to score a multicam Grizzly for 300, a prototype pocket and my wife scored a good deal on a...

    MysteryRanch Big Horn Users?

Correct my last post, the long pockets are like the ones it already has. They're the ones on the inside. I read the description too fast.

    MysteryRanch Big Horn Users?

I read that the new version has long pockets, the stik it flap and internal compartments. They don't have any pictures out yet so I don't know if the long pockets are permanent or the removable ones that are on the Tactiplane.

    MysteryRanch Big Horn Users?

The picture with my daughter in it I didn't have everything cinched up all the way or the load lifters snugged.

    MysteryRanch Big Horn Users?

I hike alone so I don't have any pictures of me wearing it out in the field. I can tell you this though it is very comfortable and will carry 45 pounds of weight with ease and make it seem to disappear. If you do a search on 24hourcampfire.com you'll see some people with some loads on it. I'm...

    Bivy Help...

I'm saving up for a MR Grizzly or Kodiak. I love my Big Horn. That little pack just makes the weight disappear but sometimes I need something bigger. The nice thing about the Mystery Ranch and Kifaru packs is the compression straps will really cinch down the larger packs into a smaller...

    2-person Ultralight Tent Opinions

Now the hard part is finding a good tent that isn't in some loud obnoxious color. I do like the the Big Agnes Emerald mountain series of tents. The weight isn't too bad and thy have dual doors and vestibules. I prefer each person having their own door.

    Mystery Ranch vs. Sitka Packs

I know I like my Bighorn. The load lifters on it work great. They really take the load off of your shoulders and snug the pack up to you. I've only had about 40-45 pounds in mine so far and the suspension of the Bighorn just makes the weight disappear. Between that and the construction and...

    Mystery Ranch vs. Sitka Packs

I like this thread that someone started on 24 hour campfire. It has some good comparison pictures and a short write up. http://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/3721082/1

    Dehydrated Meal Packs

From my past experience Mt. House is good. My friends and I have never had any luck with the eggs though. I'd stay away from the eggs and "baco bits".

    Post your Mystery Ranch pics

Mystery Ranch Big Horn. I just can't get over how comfortable this pack is. Now I have to decide between a Grizzly or a Kodiak.

    3 Day Assault Mystery Ranch

I have read on a different forum where a guy has loaded up his Big Horn with about 70-80 pounds with no problems and another guy has a daughter that carries 60 pounds in her Big Horn for training. I've only had about 45 in mine and it has been very comfortable. MR just redesigned the Dragon...
