Down for the count?
The doc says I may be down for the count this year. I had ligament /tendon repair on my right ankle last week. It looks like my brother idnative did the stitches on it. No weight bearing for two more weeks. Physical therapy will start around October 1st.- Montanaborn

2017 Idaho Moose

Question answered
The answer to the question I posed about black legged Moose has been answered. I picked up my Moose from the butcher this week and cooked a package of regular old steaks last night. Hands down it was the best and tenderest wild game I’ve ever ate. Did not have to tenderize or marinate it...- Montanaborn

Savage Model 99
Just drew on an Idaho Moose. Surely my model 99 .300 Savage using 180 grain bullets is heavy enough isn't it. I don't figure I'll be shooting over 100 yards. I really don't want to use idnative's 300 Mag.- Montanaborn

GPS selection
Idnative1948 and I gave up on the unit we've hunted elk in for over 20 years and drew cow tags for unit 51 where we grew up hunting. Benefits of government shutdown
If any of you camp in national forest campgrounds when you are hunting that require payment we may luck out this year.
