    22-250 Ackley Improved

I've just blown out a bunch of neww WW brass to fit an Akley Improved i picked up at a gun show and need a few pet loads for it. It has a 1-12 twist so I'll be shooting a 55 grain bullet (probably a V-max or Bliztking). I have no books that list data for this, so any help will be appreciated...

    Hunting those dogs

I agree with everyone on killing cats and dogs-I don't like to do what needs to be done. I hunt praire dogs on one ranch where te ONE requirment is to shoot every feral dog we see. They don't mind coyotes-shoot them if you want to. The rancher says he would rather have 7 coyotes than one feral...

    Prairie Dogs

We opened PD season here in NM two weeks ago. I hold off on the big towns until June but have several towns where the ranchers are bothered by them enough that they will poison them if not shot and also some in small alfalfa, so we take dogs out early from these towns. I would be out today...

    Best powder for .223?

I shoot prairie dogs with my friends and family using 8 different .223's. We all shoot the same load- a 55 grain bullet with 26.5 grains of 335. I have been using this load since 1973 (when you could buy 335 for $2.00 a lb) with various bullets. It shoots less than .75 in all 8 guns (on a good...
