Hi - I saw someone using this in a YT video the other day but can't find much on the web about it. Curious to know if anyone has any experience with it? Thanks and I hope all are well! https://gridspotter.com/
Hi - I have a mulie tag for unit 24 and am looking for places to start scouting. Looking at access and saw Nature Conservancy owns a big chunk in Lincoln Canyon off of the 35. Does anyone know if they have their gates open to allow access to the Gila beyond it, especially the Cottons Park...
I had a buddy put in for nonresident Colorado moose and didn't draw (not a surprise to him). We were wondering though - is there a "magic" preference point level that usually results in a tag? TIA
Doing some looking over computer at Unit 2B, look like unless you are on the 527 or 64, it's dirt. Also looks like a crap ton of oil and gas sites. Does anyone know if the major dirt roads, like Rosa Rd or the County Roads, like County Rd 513, open or are they gated off for oil and gas? I put...
I'm curious to know how many folks remove the tarsal or metatarsal on deer. I'd never hear of it until I saw it done in a video the other day. Does it make a difference? And if you do remove it, do you save it for scent coverage?
OK, so I started this thread like I did for the kind and of questions you ask when you're at the end of the day, staring into the hot coals of a dying fire. And into the darkness, to no one in particular I ask..." Would you ever pack a taser hunting instead of a pistol?"
Yup, I know. Crazy...
I'm thinking of trying backpack hunting next year to increase range, and I'd be curious to know what folks do for water?
Carry In?
Find on the go?
Some combination?
And what are folks' average daily needs? I'm thinking a liter/quart per day is probably a good place to start.
Thanks for all...
Put in for my first elk tag in 2010 and then Uncle Sam sent me to Iraq. I was a new hunter and didn't know I could call the state and suspend it. Been trying to draw ever since. This year I put in all over the state of NM in the hopes of drawing anything. I live in a beautiful place and I don't...
Archery Mule Deer New Mexico Unit 52
My wife and I each drew a tag for archery mule deer in Unit 52. I'm not familiar with the area other than driving thru on 285, and I'd appreciate some pointers on where to scout. We're planning on going up Memorial Day to drive the roads and will probably...
