Use grandpa’s old 30-06, or buy something new?
I would definitely try to use your old gun. I had my dad's old Ruger M77 in 7MM Rem Mag and it had a lot of recoil and the accuracy wasnt great. Wyoming antelope and mule deer hunting
Where we have hunted antelope, I rarely saw any deer but there were deer in that unit just in different areas. I would stick with just the antelope tag to start. Dont be afraid to ask land owners about antelope access. You might have to pay a fee but it is usually worth it.- YellowMedicine

I am a Minnesota whitetail hunter that has a tough time sitting in a tree stand all day and wants to wander in the trees and meadows. I have enjoyed a couple Wyoming pronghorn hunts and was humbled by my first diy Montana bull elk hunt this year. Cant stop thinking about heading West. Thanks...- YellowMedicine
