Don't bother till mid-November as the young rams will be most of what you see. Once the rut starts you can find bigger rams. 9 yr old from 2013.- wlbiol

New Mexico Unit 34
Plenty of elk in the unit, try Benson Ridge and down the sun spot hwy. there is a big burn that's about 10 yrs old in the southern part of the unit that has lots of elk. If you get snow, the westside road is where they winter. good luck.
