Beyond waiting to hear more about glass quality, lots of bad reports about vectronix customer service/warranty work which is a big deal because it seems like rangefinders are about the least reliable gear out there even if they cost thousands..
I’ve had a sig 2400 ABS for a long time and it’s always been good to me. Really liked using a ballistic silver on leica geovid hd-b binos too but they had issues in the cold that got two pairs warrantied so I sold the 2nd warranty replacement pair before using them.
Nothin wrong with that. Some people can apparently fit stocks to rifles but struggle with how high to set zero at 100 yards to be on at 200 or following a scope manufacturer's instructions for adjusting a locking turret.
Can get a 223 t3x compact for sub $700 right now, still might do that but my shooting season is mostly over. Spring has come and now it's habitat improvement season on my land. Have a pile of 223 ammo that was supposed to get burned up Jan-April..
Probably doesn't want to do it for obvious reasons but if PVA just ripped off the PBB lite hybrid (tikka lite contour until it hits 0.75" then no taper to muzzle) i think it'd serve them well. Make it a 1.2 or 1.25 shank for m700 pattern actions. The "cant tell a difference if not on paper"...
Barrel on order is an ACE tikka lite contour in 7.5 twist. Going to finish @ 18" and be a wylde chamber, maybe add a hair more throat. The factory barrel shot alright with some bullets, not great. Didn't like 75 ELDs. Just have a hard time settling for a barrel that doesn't shoot near everything...
Good share. I know certain smiths give considerable attention to the ignition system to make it ideal and lots seem to ignore it unless there are problems. I'm pretty ignorant on all the details involved but seems its a good thing to keep on top of.
