What size/height bipod?
So I've been considering a bipod for my antelope hunt and not sure what the conventional wisdom is on height. I realize it depends upon the grass or brush height, but what I'm asking is what do you guys/gals run for antelope hunting? Any preferences on brands and/or features? -

"InReach" question
I bought the inReach this year for my upcoming elk hunt and I've already used it while salmon fishing in Alaska as well as kayak fishing in Texas where I can't get a cell signal. Using it paired with a phone is the way to go for texting and for the map usage. Similar to others on the thread... -

How long is too long in the cooler for a Pronghorn?
So I've set aside a week for pronghorn hunting in Wyoming in Unit 26 and the success rate is about 98%. I've never shot a speed goat, so I'm not looking for a record book animal and have tags for a buck and a doe. I'm driving up from Texas and picking up a buddy that is just along to help and... -

Elk Decoy: The Real Deal or Sucker Scam?
What's your opinion on decoys? Are they worth it to pack in on a backcountry hunt? Do they work? Would you be fine without it? I swear by them for turkeys and dove hunting, but have never tried them for big game. I'm headed out for elk and antelope this fall and considering a purchase. -
