DIY turret label
How thin does it need to be? I think some single wall shrink that starts at about the diameter of the turret would fit flush with the knurling at the top. Packing tape is definitely the king of being thin though. -

All it needs to be weather ready is a section of clear heatshrink! Looks awesome! Did you just calculate the dope or did you shoot a few distances and then interpolate between those? -

650 fps Slow Barrel??
Nosler states they typically uses a 26" barrel to test their ammunition. Your barrel is shorter (22.6"), so there should be some velocity lost there. I've read that a good rule for rifles is about 20 to 25 fps per inch lost. That would be a loss of 80 to 100 fps. Also, they state in their FAQ... -

2 gun do-all battery suggestions?
I went with a .308Win Howa Kuiu in the short 20" barrel. With a light Leupold 2-7 on it I think it should be perfect for taking game with shots under 250 meters. I'm told by those with more experience than I that .308 Win can be downloaded appropriately to take sheep or small black tail and... -

Where do I start? I am a brand new hunter and will be trying this season for my first elk. I'll have some experienced minds in the crew, but this will all be new to me. One of of the fellows in an archery guy and gets an elk most seasons that way. That seems like a whole larger bags of worms... -

Short barrel destroys accuracy?
Also check and see if the stock is making contact with the barrel.
