Awesome, man. Congrats. I've been trying to get any hunt at Mason Mountain for a couple years now. It looks like an interesting place to hunt, and being from Austin it's got to be closest one. I'm still waiting to see on the guided Gemsbok and Oryx draws. Let us know how it goes! -

If I had my pick between solo, or with a good hunting buddy, I'll take a buddy every time. However, I do think I'm a better hunter when I'm alone. I was able to apply for the first round, but noticed the new regs on the homepage only after I submitted. It got me worried that they'd reject for e-Postcard and USFS Antlerless Deer. Anyone have any luck on the 8/15 draws? I didn't get selected for the gator, and waiting on second draw for... -

Anyone else having trouble buying the 2018-2019 season super combo package? I can't seem to find it on https://www.txfgsales.com/. The draw hunt this year are saying "adult applicants must possess an Annual Public Hunting Permit valid for the 2018-2019", but can't see anyway to renew for this... -

Hand Held GPS or Cell Phone
Do you use anything for emergency rescue, something like SPOT? I don't have one, but it's in the back of my mind that if something goes down... Well my wife would kill me if I wasn't already dead. That's probably the best argument for the standalone GPS. -

I run solely on the phone. In freezing temps, I really like the touch-screen gloves. I just have a cheap pair that I use as a liner.
