    I haven't visited this site for nearly a year so I'm not 'on here' much but I am one who has shot only bows that bend (traditional and primitive) ever since I first shot a bow in the '60's.     I agree with Ernie. Get yourself to an event where you can lay your hands on some bows and shoot them. Doesn't matter if they are new or used; try out as many as you can so you know what feels good to you. Then you will have an idea of what to look for and won't risk spending good money on...

    Arrow weight

    Lighter isn't better from my personal point of view because I believe that mass is paramount. I keep my shots under 20 yards and to that distance trajectory isn't an issue; 650 grain arrows; 62# of draw weight; 66" longbow.
