Little Belt Mountains
Pm me about the Little Belts. I've taken multiple elk on the south end. These fools that troll this site think you got to produce a "resume" to ask questions. Hunt mid week and after snow and you will get into elk. I can tell you a great spot to camp also. -

Hunting Ethics / Sportsmanship
I second the ethics of Stuart. You have got to now that your post will be seen by those that hunted that canyon opening morning and you better be ready for the other side of the story. I also now the other atv party and will vouch for their ethics. (they also harvested a respectable buck, btw!)... -

MT shoulder season decision...
simple question--give me one good alternative to reducing elk numbers on private land that doesn't involve opening up the private to every tom,dick and harry? Take into consideration all the money, time and resources a private landowners has to agree to if they open to anyone that wants access...- smithrmk

Yes you are absolutely right you can access from other roads, but the access is terrible and you know it. You would have to walk for eons to get anywhere.
