Sun was high as it was in the middle of the day. It HAS occurred to me that he may have been using a call which might have confused the animals. But even that would have been remarkable because they were able to see him for such a long time - long before he would have been close enough for them... -

A second choice in a unit that never sells out won't give you a guarantee, but it does give you another chance. I'm responding to this after the antelope drawing, but am curious. Did you and your daughter get drawn. If so, I might be able to help from this point on. -

Montana Opener Success
Got this decent antelope during the first hour of hunting in H.D. 700. Practiced all summer out to 425 yards, and managed to get within 50 yards for the shot. My son-in-law also got a nice buck about an hour later. A great day for us and I hope the rest of you guys have good hunting, too.
